PUBLICITY RELEASE FOR MEMBERS: April 28, 2011

Last evening, the Friends of Fort Trumbull were treated to an amazing presentation by Kevin Johnson, researcher and enactor from the Connecticut State Library.  Mr. Johnson portrayed Jordan Freeman, Col. Ledyard's body servant, who was killed at the Battle of Groton.

Mr. Johnson electrified the gathering as he entered the hall, singing-in a rich voice- about Freedom.  His entire presentation was beautifully conceived, written, and presented.  The crowd was so enthusiastic that it gave him a standing ovation at the completion of the presentation.  The energy and creativity of this presentation was an inspiring way to begin our new season

and to welcome our new President- Cliff Carter.

It was an outstanding evening filled with promise for our new year.
